The Porefessional dupe under £5.

I love a good beauty bargain, especially when those bargains are either dupes or BETTER than dupes for some high end favourites.

I have been stuck trying to find a decent primer for ages, I’ve been dipping in and out of different brands from Rimmel to Smashbox to Shu Uemura. It’s been quite a struggle.

I’m not sure whether the whole ‘primer’ thing is a fad, and half the time I just feel like I’m putting a layer of goop under my foundation.

Despite this wariness, I picked up a new primer this week, for the princely sum of £3 – and you know what? It’s actually pretty good!

I was as shocked as you will be to discover that I found it in WILKO. WILKO.

Let that sink in. Part of a new quirky looking range called ‘Kiss’, Prime Of Your Life comes in a fairly generous tube considering the price.

Still skeptical, I gave it a go this morning. The texture definitely rivals Porefessional – and it works just as well! It’s a creamy texture but less greasy than its Benefit counterpart, (I’m guessing they threw in a little more aqua).

It smoothed out my hormonal breakout – and really worked! I’m an annoying ‘face toucher’ – a habit that can’t be helped, so I was chuffed to discover that my make up did not slide off by 3pm as it usually does. Good work Wilko.

It’s not a life changer, but might be a game changer and well worth checking out for £3.

I’m definitely going to try some more from this range! Have you tried any?

(For non brits, Wilko is like Target or KMart, but much cheaper).
