I do love a quirky bar, so imagine my delight when I realised that The Botanist in Chester serve cocktails in actual WATERING CANS.
There’s a choice between Raspberry and Sage or Apple and Vanilla. We opted for the Raspberry and Sage which contained Raspberry absolut, elderflower liqeur, grendine, white wine and lemonade – all topped off with some fresh sage.
They’re supposed to serve 4, but my cousin and I gladly shared one between us – and it was ample!
The GIANT watering can
It tasted like squash, which was fairly lethal, considering the alcohol content – would definitely recommend trying one if you’re ever visiting the city, and fancy a quick break from touring the cathedral – it’s right next door!
